Afternoon, All

*Randomness ahead.*

I watched The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King last night. That movie is EXCELLENT I tell you. I don't really understand how Arwen's fate got connected to the ring, exactly, but I guess it was good for plot as long as you don't look to hard at it. It's DRAMATIC, and lovers who are perfect and unperturbed are so boring, right? Humph. I disagree. Besides that, the timeline changed a bit, but that's normal. Compared to a lot of movies, The Return of the King stuck to the plot almost exactly. *applauds*

Right now, it's beautiful outside, if a little dry. It hasn't rained during the day for around a week, and the rain we did receive went straight through the ground. The plants didn't absorb much, and there are yellow stalks in places. Heck, I'm drying out from the heat.

Yeah, that's what we need.

One of our cats is weird; he loves being vacuumed. Really, whenever Mom goes near him with the Eureka Pet Lover Oh! (very good at picking up hair, btw) he'll start pawing at the crevice wand and he adores being vacuumed around his head. He also likes being rubbed on his stomach, and he likes going out on a leash. He's do just fine as a dog, actually.

In writing news, I've typed out 40 pages since the beginning of the month! I'm still counting my word production, too, even though the June 30,000 in 30 Days thing has ended, and so far I've written 17895 words since the 1st. The only problem with this is that I don't like editing. I know, I know, I have to do it, but if I want to write more of the story itself, editing/revising usually gets low priority on my list of things to do. I know what's supposed to be happening, so I have to make sure things correspond correctly. Gah.

I think that's all I have to say today . . . oh, and don't forget the caption contest below this post! I added links above so if the images don't show up, the pictures should still be accessible.

Zai Jian! Toodles! Ciao! Au Revoir! [Insert phrase of choice]!

Hi Golden,
It waqsn't as much the ring that was linked to Arwen as the evil forces gaining force. That's what almost killed her, and that's why she should have gone away. Which, of course, she didn't. :)
It's too hot here in Finland too. And more of it promised for the ten days to come. I'm dying for rain and thunder. :D

Lord Of the Rings series is flat out awesome! I am glad you finally got to see them.

What a outlandish cat! I have never heard of such a thing before.

Way to go pushing yourself to keep writing! I haven't gotten back yet. This month has been crazy and I haven't had the time to sit down and write and post on the 30,000 words in 30 days blog. I need to do that.

17,000-something words? That is SWEET!!!! I've barely written a thing this month.

Omigoodness. Your cat sounds hilarious! I wish I had one:).

Katie: Hope you get that rain! :)

RA: Oh. Well, I thought that was what Elrond said, but the strength of the dark forces makes more sense. :P

Memzie: He is outlandish. LOL.

Caroline: Gollum is CREEPY. Highly. I doubt you sound anything like him. :D
Do you mean a cat, or a cat that acts like a dog? Because that's what he's like. :P
