Because I Will Not Be Around Today And Have No Words For You . . .

. . . I leave you with President Barack Obama's.

Have an awesome day, everyone!

I watched the speech last night. One thing that struck me was the way the Democrats and Republicans sat together, seats often chosen because a friend was next to them, regardless of the friend's party affiliation. Most bipartisan State of the Union I've ever seen. Very refreshing!

Have a great day!

Watched it live too... He's such a great speaker. Two parts I absolutely loved (paraphrasing):

It's not about sitting next to each other tonight, but about working together tomorrow.

We have one agency for salmon when they're in fresh water and another when they're in salt water. I hear it gets even mored complicated when they're smoked!

Of course, there's plenty of serious stuff in the speech, but I love how he connects with the audience with these lines.

Nicole: I agree! It was nice seeing the two parties sit together. Did you see McCain and Kerry next to each other?

Angela: Thank you!

Old Kitty: It's a good speech!

Thanks! :)

Hannah: Thank you!

Jules: They are, true. And I'm hoping what he pledged will actually happen, too.

Thank you!

Charles: I agree!

Michael: Thanks! :)

W.B.: Agreement.

Donea: That would be nice!

Nancy: You're welcome!

Laughingwolf: Thank you!

Mason: I did have a good day, overall. :)

Her Highness: Thanks!

Cool name, BTW. ;D

Tracy: Maybe because of the whole US/UK thing? The link to the White House homepage is

Oops! Missed your comment, Carolyn--you posted just before I did!

I had to laugh when he mentioned the smoked thing--even though it's a serious issue.

I agree, he did a great job with his speech!
