2014

Hello.

Happy 2014!

Remember me?

I sort of used to blog here before I decided to take a quarter of a year off from Blogger.

Kind of inadvertently. 2013 was crazy from start to finish.

But I've decided that this year, I'm going to blog. It's not going to be every day; I'm not going to be able to read as many blogs and comment on as many posts; I'm not going to be replying as often to comments on my own blog.

However, I will still be posting. I don't want to let go of blogging as an activity--it keeps me writing, if only a little bit, not to mention the fact that I've really missed knowing what you wonderful people are saying and doing and achieving.

I won't be participating anymore in Teaser Tuesday or the Insecure Writer's Support Group; I may or may not get time to do blogfests. Regardless, I am unwilling to let The Eagle's Aerial Perspective turn into a blogging graveyard.

So, here ends the obligatory "change is coming and I'm sorry for abandoning you all and yes I'm still alive" post put out by all returning bloggers, and here's to the new year! :)

How are you all (assuming anyone still reads this)? How are you doing? What's your biggest goal/resolution for 2014? What's the thing this year that you're looking forward to the most? What was your favorite moment from holiday break?

Welcome back from you hiatus. Sometimes, you just got to take a break. I look forward to what you have to share as 2014 rolls along.

I'm looking forward to doing more writing and not as much in the way of bloghops and blogfests, especially with my desire to get more focused on writing.

Here's to 2014 and the changes to come :-)

I have the same goals ... to get published. And I have a 'very' good feeling about this year :)

Happy New Year, Eagle, and welcome back.

Oh, and remember it is not the regularity of your posts, but the content :)

Happy new year!!
I aim for about 1 post a week or maybe 5 a month - it keeps me active enough that I don't forget about it and I still get to keep in touch. You just have to find what works for you! :)

Welcome back! It's great to see you here. I'm sure you really, really needed a bloggy break. I hope you've returned revitalised and that 2014 will be less crazy for you. :)

Glad you're back. I'd considered removing you from my lists as I cleaned things up a bit just last week. But decided there was no harm in leaving you up. Good for me.

After all, I tend to take off months at a time myself. I say do what you can and don't worry about anything else.

Yes, I do remember you and I'm glad to see a new post. I'm with you on the blogging thing, not every day, or even every week, but I'm unwilling to let my blog turn into a graveyard, plus, as you say, it keeps me writing. I don't really make resolutions anymore, but I hope to become a better writer. Happy New Year!!!

Great to have you back - but don't fret about the blogging too much, right? The writing comes first...

good to see you. I haven't really made any resolutions this year. Didn't even write my usual opening of the year retrospective. going to be a busy 2014 I know.

Perhaps the blogging break was just what you needed. I went on a break for a lot of 2012. 2013 was much better. I think that Life sometimes intervenes and we have to make choices. But if we truly miss something, we will come back to it. Looking forward to seeing you more in 2014!

Do what you can. Blogging can never be a priority. :-)

Happy new year! Glad to see you back. I'm working on the first draft of a novel and taking a short break this month from blogging. (Sort of) You've had some fascinating posts in the past, especially for A to Z. Maybe you could re-post some older stuff occasionally to entertain readers (if they're newish, they may not have read early posts anyway).

Good to have you soaring again in 2014 - I'm looking forward to being educated with your wonderful posts.

Likewise I took a large chunk of 2013 off with only a rare post here and there to keep my blog from becoming a graveyard - but sometimes life gets in the way, doesn't it?

It's been fun seeing the resurrection of a few bloggers that have been off the grid - you have been missed.

Welcome back.
Here's to a Happy and Exciting New Year!

I'm hoping for a bit more fun this year. Things got very plodding and pedestrian in 2013, so time to be a bit more adventurous, i think.

Good for you! Welcome back. I noticed a lot of bloggers I follow cut back - including myself. If blogging paid the mortgage, things would be different. Sadly, it does not.

Happy 2014!

Welcome baaaaack! :) We all need breaks. And yeah, I think a lot of people are scaling back and not doing the every day blogging. It's not necessary, really. Glad to hear this helps your writing though!

Hi Eagle ... hope 2014 is treating you well ... I've had some time off from blogging myself ... and a couple of false starts at getting back into it again ... hope we'll meet up again some day in the blogosphere! Good luck with all your projects and ambitions :-)
