The Fourth Writers' Platform-Building Campaign

Yes, I've signed up for the Fourth Writers' Platform-Building Campaign!

Never heard of the Campaign? From the creator's, Rachael Harrie's, site:
Basically, the Campaign is a way to link those of us in the writing community together with the aim of helping to build our online platforms. The Campaigners are all bloggers in a similar position, who genuinely want to pay it forward, make connections and friends within the writing community, and help build each others' online platforms while at the same time building theirs.

Are you joining in?

***Also: Tomorrow, I'll be announcing something special that I'm really quite excited about--a blogfest, hosted here on The Eagle's Aerial Perspective. Be sure to mark your calendars!***

I did the last one and met a lot of great people. I kind of thought I was too busy to do it again this round, though.

Have fun with the challenges!

Deborah Walker said...

Oh these are great fun. I've done the last two, but I think I might skip this one. Enjoy, Eagle.

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

Not this time, not with the A to Z and a book release coming up.

Old Kitty said...

Oooh how exciting for tomorrow! Yay! Take care

Patricia Marques said...

I'm a first time participator! Just popped over to say hello and introduce myself :)

Abby Minard said...

Probably not this year again- I've got a baby on the way so it's taking all my time to plan for that and find time to write! Have fun with it this year!

Misha Gericke said...

Oooh! Heading over to sign up right now.

Carrie Butler said...

Yay! Campaign time! :D

Leigh Covington said...

Awesome! I think her campaigns are wonderful. I did the last one, but I'm going to sit this one out while I finish the first draft I'm working on. Not enough time for it all. I'm still excited to check out everyone's entries though. *squee!*

All signed up and excited!

I participated in the last two Campaigns, but last the last one went terribly. It was too much to keep up with. I said I wouldn't do it again, buuuut. . . it's so tempting. So many amazing people!

Andrew said...

Hey great blog. I'm a fellow campaigner and found you in the apocalyptic list, and I am now a follower. Have a great day.

Michael Di Gesu said...

Is it time already. Geez, out of tone for a few weeks and all hell breaks lose.

How fun, Golden. Looking forward to your post tomorrow.

Josh Hoyt said...

This is a great idea I think that I will not be able to join though as you have probably noticed I havn't been on much due to thesis defense that is coming up. Good luck to you though:)

Hmm this sounds interesting I will definitely check it out!

I'm giving it a miss this time around - too much else to try & get done lately! hehe. But I will be looking out for Campaign activities & visiting some blogs, anyway.

That's great that you're going to be part of the campaign. I'd like to, but don't have the time or brain power...but I hope to see everyone's posts! Maybe I'll join in the challenges just for fun :)

Susan Kane said...

I wish I could participate--I did on the First campaign. But, I am overwhelmed right now. I will be following the followers, however, and enjoying the writing challenges!

Angela Ackerman said...

I think this is an absolutely fabulous idea. I'll be looking forward to seeing a ton of Campaigner posts!

I've never been able to do one of these, but so many people do--not surprised, it's really cool. Wish I were better able to commit to stuff like this. Have fun!

Donna K. Weaver said...

Fun! I did it last time--kinda--but things got crazy. Well, things are already crazy. I can't take on anything else. Good luck. It's a great experience.

Helloah. I'm a campaigner from your YA group, and a scifi writer too (mostly of the Michael Crichton variety). I write YA under the name Rhiannon Morgan. Looking forward to getting to know you and your stuff!

L.G.: I admit, I wondered if I had time for it myself. But I really enjoyed the others I've participated in.

Deborah: Well, there's always the fifth. :)

Thank you.

Alex: You sound really busy already!

Old Kitty: Hope you liked the announcement. :)

Patricia: Hi there! It's great to meet you.

Abby: Maybe next time around? Though I'm sure the baby will be a lot of work then as well.

Misha: Awesome!

Carrie: I'm excited, too!

Leigh: I agree. :)

Good luck with your draft!

Siv: Me, too.

Madeline: There are a lot of great bloggers signing up for the Campaign!

Josh: Good luck with your thesis!

Thank you. :)

Cestlavie22: I hope you can join the Campaign! It's a lot of fun.

Jonyangorg: Hello! :)

LOL. I'm a bit glad that I was adopted by a non-celebrity; not sure I'd want to be the child of someone well-known.

Sounds like a great book, though!

Megan: It's nice to meet you. :)

Lafreeland: Cool. :D

Susan: There seems to be a lot going on during this part of the year.

Trisha: It's always great to meet new bloggers. :)

Emily: Same here--albeit as a participant.

Lydia: Thank you!

Theresa: Hope you can join the blogfest. :)

Carol: I met a lot of bloggers, too. And had a lot of fun!

Thanks. :)

Michelle: That would be awesome. I'd love to read what you come up with!

Susan: I love reading everyone's entries.

Angela: Same here. And talk about a TON--I'm sure there will be massive amounts of challenge posts again. :)

Carolina: Rachael Harrie had a great idea, starting the Campaign.

Donna: Thank you. And yes, it is. :)

Digilette: Welcome to my blog! It's nice to meet a fellow YA writer.

Sarah: Awesome. :)

Lucy: Hi there! It's great to meet an SF-writer--there are relatively few compared to the number of writers in other genres.

I'm mostly of the Asimov/Clark variety. ;)
