These two lines are from Dragonhaven by Robin McKinley, one of my favorite authors. :)
(A review shall come soon.)
Of course most of the broth went all over me and the dragonlet, but some of it must have gone down its throat because it choked and gargled and then I knew I had killed it. I whipped out of my shirt again and held it up head down in the air and it gacked and gagged and then started mewing again and trying to get back into my shirt.--p. 55.

That's a great teaser! I love dragon stories - I'll have to check this author out. Thanks for visiting my teaser. Happy reading!
Great teaser! Not normally into dragon stories but I think I am going to have to check this one out...:)
I've heard some good things about this author. Good teaser! Thanks for stopping by today.
awww, poor little baby dragon!!
Here's my teaser!!
I read that book, and it was okay, but not the best. How did you like it?
I think I have the book on my shelf. look familiar. and great teaser ;p
This was a good book. I enjoyed it a lot when I read it. My teaser is from Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel. Happy reading!
Robin McKinley is a favorite of mine. I've read and loved Spindles End and Rose Daughter - I need to read the rest of her stuff. Dragonhaven looks to be excellent! I'm hoping that her newest book, Pegasus, will live up to her best work.
AND I can't wait for your review. :D Great reviewer, you are.
Aww, a baby dragon sounds cute! :) Nice teaser. Mine is at The Crowded Leaf.
Lady Q: You're welcome. :)
Kelsey: You should! It's a really good book.
Amy: Sure!
Carrie In the Hammock Blog: I know. But it works out. ;)
Icewolf: I love it! It's too bad you didn't; I know you like dragons.
Darlyn: You should read it!
Kathy Martin: Glad you did! Also: Infinite Days! I've heard so much about that book. :)
John: I have yet to read her fairy tale adaptations, but I REALLY want to. I've seen a lot about Pegasus esp. on her blog, and it looks very good! The review will be coming . . . sometimes tomorrow, probably. :)
Alayne: It is very cute. :D
Aww baby dragons always sound so cute! (Although there's nothing cute about them when they're all grown-up) Great Teaser - I've really liked the 3 Robin Mckinley books that I've read so I'll have to see if I can find a copy of this.
LadyV
You're right: they aren't quite as cute once they're grown. :P
Aww!
I haven't read a good sci-fi dragon story in a while, might check into this book. I do like Robin McKinley.
Really interesting teaser - will have to look into this book!
I'll have to read this--I love Robin McKinley and dragon lore.
Kaye-the road goes ever ever on
Lillie: This could certainly be classified as SF! And add to that McKinley . . . :)
Book Sake: Hope you do!
Kaye: Me too.
Is this part of a larger series?
Great teaser!
Smellincoffee: Nope. It's a standalone, which is sort of a relief since there are SO MANY series out there. :P
Yvonne: Thanks. :)
I've wanted to read this book. I'm a new follower. Your profile captured my attention.
Thanks so much for following, Peaceful Reader! :D
