Crusader Challenge: One Secret, One Lie, One Interesting Quirk, One Annoying Habit, One Character Trait, and One of My Favorite Things--Not Necessarily In That Order

To learn more about the challenge, go HERE.

It’s likely I would die if thrown into a pool of dihydrogen monoxide and left without help.

I have occasionally been bloviate about a pastime I seriously enjoy—a pastime that has also demanded I fake being a boy, and an angel, and an insect (among other things) although I have never had the honor of being a rabbit.

I am constantly moving; whenever I’m sitting down or standing, I’m usually twitching, bouncing, or moving in some way and cannot stay still for long.

For me, sandwiches are not to be eaten whole. Top layer of bread first, insides layer by layer, and bottom slice last. Eating everything together in one bite? No way.

I love riding elephants and camels—the former of which I’ve done a few times and the latter is something I do at any opportunity. And while we’re speaking of exotic animals, I’ve also held a lion cub.

I cannot wield a blade with skill; try me with a keyboard instead, since I’m a writer and write practically every day. But I’ve never tried doing using it in a fuliguline manner—just isn’t my style.

*****

One of the above facts is not strictly true. Can you guess which one?

I have no idea. I suspect that it is... the...

Nope... I cannot say.

Wait... You can use a blade with skill. Knife and fork?

;-P

Ok I'm going to guess that the first one is a lie and that you CAN actually swim :-)

I think the sandwich one is not true.

I have no idea what your lie is... perhaps you have tried eating a sandwich in a single bite. Not terribly good manners but something kids will try at some point. Have a nice day!

Hmmm, this is a tough one. I'm going to go with riding elephants. But only because I'm jealous if it's true!

Brian said...

Maybe there wasn't a challenge after all!

Devin Bond said...

I hope your lie is the riding elephants and touching a lion cub. Totally jealous if you have!

I wanna ride an elephant... :(

Gary Baker said...

It's the sandwiches. Or not.

Wendy aka Quillfeather said...

I'm guessing, eating the sandwich is a lie? Well, I hope it is!

I love the way the sandwich is eaten!! LOL!! I hope this is the true one cos it's so unique!!!

I'm going to say riding elephants and camels is the untruth? Eagles FLY!!! :-)

Take care

I think the way you eat a sandwich is untrue. If it were true, why make it into a sandwich?

Mary Vaughn said...

It must be the sandwich -- why waste time putting it together if you're going to eat it like that?

DEZMOND said...

I wonder whether people would enjoy being ridden by elephants or camels :) like they enjoy riding those poor animals.

Kari Marie said...

I bet you can swim after all!

W.B. said...

Um.... I'm going to have to go with... riding elephants! :P

Sharde(Shar-day) said...

Oh, I have no idea. This will require some thought. Good job!

L.A. Colvin said...

hhmmm I eat a banana sideways so why not a sandwich. I'm going to say you can swim.

I gotta say the sandwich. Then again reality is stranger than fiction on any given day.

Although I have known people who wouldn't let any of the food on their plate touch.(Hugs)Indigo

This is a fun challenge!
Even I cannot stay still for more than 5 minutes.

Cleveland Dietz II said...

I think the lion cub is untrue.

Sandra Ulbrich Almazan said...

Tough pick, but I'll go with the riding exotic animals as the lie.

Speaking of sandwiches, my word verification is "meatee."

Sari Webb said...

I'm going with the first. Unless you can't swim ;).

L'Aussie said...

Hey Golden, it all sounds so true. Maybe the sandwich otherwise you could starve!

I have no idea, you can swim?

Very nice challenge, but I'm with the people who think that you're lying about the dihydrogen monoxide. You wouldn't die. :)

Welcome to the crusade. Go group 14! We shall be victorious. That is, if there's any opportunity for our group to compete against all the other crusader groups.

Margo Benson said...

This excellent - I'm going with the sandwich but I have no idea!

J.L. Campbell said...

Nice to meet you. Maybe riding camels is the lie that's in there?

Shelley said...

After reading some other comments and doing a little research, would have to say the first one is a lie! :)

Clarissa Draper said...

Is it technically a sandwich if you eat it that way? Love the challenge and your answers.

tinadchayes said...

My guess is the lie that you'd 'die if thrown into a pool of dihydrogen monoxide and left without help'. :)

Madeleine said...

LOL! Anyone whose ridden on a camel knows it's quite an ordeal. Either you are a masochist or it's a lie! :O)

Donna Hole said...

OK, I cheated. I had to look up dihydrogen monoxide because it sounded so sinister. That has to be the lie - b/c I can certainly see you bouncing constantly with movement (given all your activities) and riding a Camel and Elephant (given your homeland) and I'd like to believe you are more proficient with a keyboard than a blade. It fits you. As for the quirk of eating sandwiches layer by layer - well I've known a couple people that eat them that way. Not me; I want the whole messy taste of everything at once.

Hello fellow crusader! I am a tad bit late, so I just thought I would just say Hi! :D

Lisa Potts said...

Hmmm, my guess would be that you actually haven't ridden an elephant, but I'm just not sure. Great post.

Lois D. Brown said...

My guess is you can swim. :) BTW, thanks for stopping by my blog. It's been so fun to all these new blogs. Best, Lois

I promise I haven't read the answer first, it's been a busy week! I'm guessing you haven't ridden a camel. My daughter eats a sandwich like that too :)
