Teaser Tuesday (26)

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.

Rules for participating:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week's teaser is from Songs for a Teenage Nomad by Kim Culbertson.

"You need to get to class, please." The yard lady whose name nobody knows stands on the concrete pavement several yards away. "Now. Read your love letters in class."
-p. 69 (paperback)

If you have a teaser, feel free to share it! :)

Interesting teaser! I haven't read Songs for a Teenage Nomad yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing what you have to say about it. Thanks for sharing. ^_^

Sounds like an interesting title. I hope you do a review of it soon. I can't really be bothered right now to Google it because I'm procrastinating (and I'll end up spending more time on blogs :P)

Great Teaser! I have this book on my wishlist.

This teaser is great. How petrifying to have your love letter read in class! I am curious to learn more about this one for sure.

Here's my Teaser from a book I'm reading right now. The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan.

"The dragons lunged. Leo and Jason charged to intercept." pg.317

Suddenly, I'm feeling sorry for that yard lady. I wonder if she ever got any love letters?

You do badges? Smart!

Oh, what a nightmare that would be to have to read love letters in class. No teaser today.

Excellent teaser. Gotta have it. Imagine having to endure the pain of the love letter read in front of all your peers? Whoa! Thanks for sharing about this.

Hello! I'm new. I found the link to your blog from Distant Hoofbeats. I've looked around, and I think it's great!
I also really like this idea of a Teaser Tuesday. I think I'm going to try it.

Natalie: Thank you!

I did enjoy this book. :)

Summer: I know!

Lori: I am, thank you!

Lynda: Glad you enjoyed it!

It is a good book. :)

Theresa: That's the purpose of Teaser Tuesday. ;D

You're welcome!

Michael: Me, too!

Old Kitty: It wasn't a love letter as in "Oh, dear heart" stuff. :D

Emily: I like it, too!

It's about a girl who has been moving all over the country with her mother ever since her father disappeared from her life--and she doesn't know why her mother won't talk about him, or why they keep moving so much.

Ali: I'm very glad you enjoyed it! :)

Jules: I've never really had that problem (homeschooler here :P) but I can see why it would be hard to resist!

The Golden Eagle said...

Caroline: It is a cool cover, isn't it? :)

Glad you liked it!

Jemi: I've read only one other review; but it was enough to pique my interest, and it was worth the read!

Orchid: It's a good book--well worth the time. :)

You're welcome!

Brave chickens: I know, I do that too--Googling means opening a new tab/window and typing and clicking links . . . and it's so much more fun to read blogs. ;)

Misha: Thanks!

Melissa: Glad you liked it!

I have yet to read that book--I enjoyed Percy Jackson, and I like Riordan's writing style, so I definitely want to!

Walk2write: I don't know . . . but I hope she did, at least once. :)

Thanks! I enjoy making them, and I know they can come in handy, so I decided to put the word out. I do it for free, too. :)

Nancy: I know I wouldn't want to do it!

Robyn: Thank you! I'm glad you liked the teaser!

You're welcome! :)

Akire: Hi there! Welcome to my blog, Akire! I'm glad you enjoy it--I hope I'll see more of you in the future. :)

Teaser Tuesday is a lot of fun!

Clarissa: Great teaser! Also--Patricia Stoltey! I know her. ;D

Lydia: Thanks!

I sure wouldn't want to go through it!

Carol: Thank you!

They're more like poems, actually. ;)
