Aspiring Author Interview, Awards, Ninja Writing, A-Z Blogging Challenge, and Snow

BREAKING NEWS:

The post in which I am interviewed at Perfecting the Craft--by the awesome Michelle Merrill--is up for you all to read!

Well? What are you waiting for? Go read it! And then come back to read the rest of this post, of course. ;)

*****

I was awarded the the Versatile Blogger Award by Hannah Marie at Distant Hoofbeats:

And the Stylish Blogger Award by Lisa Galek at Read. Write. Repeat.:

Many thanks to both of them!

(Again, because I've already been awarded before, and listed seven facts, I'm going to bypass that part of accepting the awards.)

*****

Ali Cross, at the blog of the same name, has declared February Ninja Novel Writing Month.

What does that mean? It means you sign up HERE and join in with the other Ninja's as you sharpen those writing skills.

I'm going to finish my novel this month. I am. I said that over a year ago, but I know more about my writing limits and what I can do in a month now--not to mention I have the ending set up in my head and I am getting close to the point where I can actually start writing it.

*****

Don't forget! You can still sign up for the  A to Z Blogging Challenge hosted by Arlee Bird at Tossing It Out.

What's the challenge part? Blogging every day except Sundays, with the theme of your post focused on something different each day--starting at A and going all the way down to Z, of course.

There are already 175 people who've linked up--are you going to help bring it all the way up to 300?

*****

It's a little icy around here, but nothing like the massive snowfall some places are got as the storm passed over North America. In fact, the sun's shining right now and everything seems to be dripping--hope the rest of you are safe and warm and that there's no more bad weather, wherever you are.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

More snow coming this way over the weekend, adding to the 18"+ we have. /sigh.

I signed up for the challenge a while ago.

Alex Cavanaugh said that they now have 500 people signed up.

I would have done gone Ninja too, but I need to focus on the rewrite without killing myself in the process.

Congrats with the awards!

:-)

Congrats on your awards. It was icy here, too, earlier, but the sun's now been out a while and it's only lingering on roofs and shady spots. Now get to work on that novel :)

We've had less snow than usual - it seems to be visiting everyone else! :)

I actually blogged every day for about 6 months and had to scale back. Whew! Now, I need to write. Seriously. Good luck with finishing the wip. I know you can do it. You have discipline and determination. And I know it will be awesome!

Kindros: 18"?! That's a lot of snow! I hope you get a break from the bad weather soon.

Hope you find them useful!

Tere: Great!

I hope you're having a great weekend yourself. :)

Misha: Really? I must have missed that . . . I just heard about the 500+ Followers (hooray for Alex and Arlee!).

Well, maybe some other time? :)

Thank you!

M. J.: Yup!

I'm starting to brainstorm posts as well.

Thanks!

Ali: Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks so much for the support. :)

Alex: Hear, hear! To the CHALLENGE!

M Pax: Thanks!

Glad you liked it!

Awesome. World building, rock hunting, and physics altogether!

Wendy: Thank you!

I just don't get eating chocolate so much and so often. :P

Madeleine: Sleet and snow here! Sounds like it's mild in the UK.

Thank you!

Milo: Thanks!

You can do it! :)

The Golden Eagle said...

Carol: Thanks!

It's frozen back up here--and there's around a foot or so of snow on the ground. :P

I will, I will! After I finish blogging . . . LOL.

Summer: Thank you! :)

Shelley: Thanks! I hope you enjoy the interview.

Madeline: Thanks!

I thought it was interesting, too, when I first read Ali's post--are you going to sign up?

Angela: Thanks! :)

Old Kitty: I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

Thank you for the support!

You're welcome--are you sure you won't sign up, though? The A-Z Blogging Challenge sounds like a lot of fun!

Abby: Thank you!

Are you signing up, or passing on it? I'm curious to find out how many people I know are participating.

Susan: I hope it doesn't snow where you are, then!

Awesome! :)

Lydia: Yes, there IS so much to do around the blogosphere--but hey, a lot of it is fun!

Thanks!

Nicole: Yeah . . . the USA is getting blasted by the storm; but the reports from Queensland are rather worrying as well! That hurricane was massive.

Thank you!

Hope you enjoyed reading it!

Colene: Thank you! :)

Donna: 6 out of 7 days; I'm sure you could do it! It's not the looser NaBloWriMo-style posting (at least, as far as I can tell) but it sounds like it's going to be fun anyway.

Thanks! I hope you do, too. :)

Stephen: I plan to begin writing up at least a few posts today; if I do that for the rest of the month I should have at least some good material by April 1st.

Michael: Thanks!

Great! :)

Damyanti: Thank you!

I love challenges, so I had to sign up for it--but yeah, posting every day with a theme to boot? Not so easy! :P

Robyn: Two challenges--wow!

Are you signing up for Rachael Harrie's Writing Crusade, by any chance?

Thank you!

I'm so glad you liked the interview!

Jai: Thank you!

Clarissa: Great! I hope you like the interview. :)

Jemi: LOL. Spreading itself around, I guess!

The Words Crafter: Every day?! Even I skipped days when I started blogging.

Thank you! I'm not so sure about the discipline part, but I am determined to get it done this month--it's about time I finished that novel!

Good luck with your own writing!

Talli: EPIC be the word. :D

Thanks!
