Teaser Tuesday (27)

Today is Tuesday, so, of course, this is a Teaser Tuesday post! This weekly meme is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week's teaser comes from Trickster's Queen by Tamora Pierce, one of my favorite Fantasy authors.

Aly looked down, quivering. She knew, just as surely as if he'd shouted in her ear, that Nawat had been the archer.

If you have a teaser, feel free to share it in the comments! :)

Here's a teaser from the book I'll be reviewing for this weekend's post:
"Pacheco had listed three fires where Doherty's name was on the crew payroll. One was the huge Mesa Verde burn, one was a smaller fire south in the White Mountains, and one was a little nipped-in-the-bud-lightning-caused blaze in the Coyote Canyon drainage." (Page 133)
If you care to take a guess, feel free. I don't reveal my authors and titles until I post but you can hop over to The Random Book Review and take a peek at my clues!

I've read some of this series. The library was always out of the one I needed next, so I gave up. Now, I want to start over and read them again. Let me know if you liked this one!

Oh I love that quote! Nawat... *happy sigh* Trickster's Queen is my absolute favourite Pierce book :D

That sounds like a chilling one! Here's mine from Across The Universe by Beth Revis(and yes there really are that many commas in the exerpt):

My door is open, my little morgue door is pulled open, and it's brighter here, I can see a tinge of light through my sealed shut eyelids, and now something, someone is pulling out my my glass coffin.

This is from a nonfiction book I'm reading:

The book has a happy ending: Caine terminates therapy and moves to California.

I bought a Tamora Pierce book a while back because I wanted to read something by her. I'll have to move it up on the TBR pile!

Thanks for the teaser!

Goodness you get through lots of exciting sounding books.
I tend to read before bed, so only about a chapter or two a night. :O)

Great teaser! I enjoyed reading that book about a year ago - borrowed it from one of my neices while on vacation. Now I want to read it again.

Rachel: Nawat just shot with arrows people who are against the resistance the MC in the book is trying to fight for.

Jamie: Thank you!

Jennifer: Thanks! :)

Catherine: Awesome! Trickster's Choice is also a really good book.

Orchid: Thanks!

She is a great author!

Mary: That's an interesting teaser! Thanks for sharing. :)

Summer: Thank you!

The Words Crafter: That's too bad; the Trickster's series is good! It's frustrating how the next book in the series never seems to be there when you want it, isn't it? :P

I did enjoy it!

Lori: I did enjoy it, thanks! :)

Old Kitty: I agree! :D

You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it.

Lynda: Thanks!

Pierce is one of my favorite Fantasy/Adventure authors.

Icewolf: I agree! :) I've enjoyed all the books by here that I've tried.

Ali: LOL. I do read a lot . . . if I've got a lot of time, I'll read more than one book a day. :P

Misha: Thanks!

You should! Tamora Pierce is a great author.

Medeia: She writes really well!

You're welcome! :)

Robyn: It's worth the read!

I know--I don't usually check all the other teasers (time constraints!) but there are so many books every week it would make my TBR list absolutely explode.

LadyViolet: Who can not like Nawat? :D

Heather: I teaser from Across the Universe--awesome!

Lots of commas, true, but it's a great teaser!

Charles: A happy ending sounds promising!

Jen: Thanks!

It is a striking cover, isn't it?

Flying high in the sky: Thanks!

Susan: Definitely move it up! :)

You're welcome!

Madeleine: I love my books exciting. :D

Tyrean: Thank you!

I know I'll want to reread it in the future!
