I pause and look at the falling snow, beautiful in a kind of fake way, and remember that time when nothing scared me. And now I'm not scared anymore of what's going to happen.-p. 217

I've read Witch and Wizard adore the the story. Looking forward to read the book!
Oh, I love that! So pretty! :)
You like the Maximum Ride series, right? I'm on the second book at the moment (well, I read the first and I was so desperate for more that I read the third one before the second one. XD) And omigoodness. They're my new favorite books!! I can't get enough of them! I'd say I love them, but a more accurate description is "I'm obsessed with them" :) :) My favorite character is definitely Iggy. :)
Hopefully you know what I'm talking about...I thought I remembered you saying you liked them. :)
Nice teaser. =)
Cool teaser! It's nice when a memory helps you deal with something current.
Amy's teasr!
Hi! Thanks for the follow! I am now following you as well.
~ Larissa
That was pretty cool. I like the cover on that one too!
I like the description you gave- great teaser-
Reminding her/him of lost innocence?

The cover is gorgeous. Nice teaser too.
Have you read Maximum Ride? That's all I've read by him, but he's really good!
I haven't read any of these books yet but daughter read the first one. Maybe when I have time.
Terrific cover on that book!!
Here's mine - I'm reading Like Mandarin by Kirsten Hubbard (It's fabulous so far!!!)
Mandarin treated her men like the apples she bit the good parts from, then pitched; like the still-smoldering cigarettes she famously crushed beneath her bare feet. I wondered how many of them she htought about afterward, and which ones, and why.
I love the cover and enjoyed the teaser.
The cover is so pretty, and so is the teaser. I haven't read these books and I haven't heard any feedback, either. Please let us know if you like it!
We have that book at work. I shall have to take a peek!

THE CLOUD PAVILION by Laura Joh Rowland
Noir detective fiction set in medieval Japan
Marian Allen
Awesome teaser. Makes me want to read on. Your teasers always make me feel that way, though. :)
That cover is pretty cool, and I love the excerpt/teaser you posted!
Darlyn: The Gift is a good sequel!
Caroline: Agreed! :)
AWESOME. They're one of my favorite series, and I think I did the same thing you did; I read the first, second, and then the fourth because I didn't want to wait. LOL.
I totally agree about Iggy. He's a great character--and he does it all even though he's blind.
I didn't like the most recent book in the series, though--Fang was just a lot of mush and not much plot, as are the earlier novels.
Dazzling Mage: Thanks!
Jen: I agree!
Thank you! :)
Amy: Thanks!
Definitely.
Larissa: Thanks for following me in return!
Brian: Thanks.
It is a great cover!
Summer: Glad you liked it!
Thanks!
Smellincoffee: Pretty much.
Mysteriousrose: Thank you!
You should read them--the Witch & Wizard series is quite good.
Welcome to The Eagle's Aerial Perspective. :)
Gina: Thanks!
It's a good book! I hope you enjoy it if you do read it. :)
Old Kitty: It is!
You're welcome!
Nancy: Thank you!
Holly: I agree. :)
Thanks!
Emily: YES. :D
Susan: They're good books!
Jemi: I love it, too.
You're reading Like Mandarin? I've been seeing it all over the blogosphere recently. :)
Interesting teaser!
Medeia: I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The Words Crafter: Sure! :) I'll write up a review of the first book in the series.
Ellie: It's a good book!
Marian: Detective fiction set in medieval Japan? That sounds like a fascinating book!
Great teaser!
Robyn: Thank you!
I try. ;)
Jess: I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I agree with everyone else: That cover's great!
I love reading these teasers. I probably wouldn't have picked up that book, so it's great to get a glimpse. Thanks!
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I am now your follower, too.

Great teaser! I still don't get the draw of present tense. I have read a few good novels written in that style though I have to admit. My exerpt is from The Clearing by Anne Riley:
As the figure hobbled through the front door of the building, a shaft of moonlight pierced through the clouds, momentarily illuminating his head and shoulders. The last thing I saw before he disappeared into the boy's dormitory was the glint of fiercely orange hair.
Oh, that's a great teaser! I really need to start reading that series.
Such a captivating cover. Now I want to read it!
Angela @ The Bookshelf Muse
Great teaser. Makes me want to know what's gonna happen next
Thanks for visiting, returned the compliment and am impressed; I will be back xx
I love the cover. I didn't know that Patterson wrote those types of books. Perhaps it's a different person.
It's fascinating to me how prolific in so many genres James Patterson is. I haven't read this particular series, but I did buy the Maximum Ride series for my Not-So-Bebe-Girl Autumn; ended up reading them myself as well, and really liked them! Thanks for the teaser! (and I really like that cover, too!)
What a gorgeous cover! Nice tease, too!
What a beautiful cover..I, too, love the picture...Nicely presented and I am glad that I found your site, thanks for coming by...Happy Blogging~!!
Great teaser! I haven't read this yet, but it's on my TBR.
That James Patterson sure writes a lot of books. I've never read a one yet.

Tossing It Out
"Five months to operational fluency. No school." from Weapons of Mass Instruction by John Taylor Gatto.
Definitely one of those books that scream: I am a home school parent. However, even a day late, with a "serious" book, I just had to particpate. I love teaser Tuesdays.
That cover is awesome! Thanks for the sentences...I need to read more of his books.
Tracey: It's a great cover! :)
You're welcome!
Manzanita: You're quite welcome! I'm making my way through the list of A-Z Challenge participants, looking for blogs to follow. Yours seemed like one I definitely had to. :)
Thanks for following me in return!
Heather: Thank you!
It's not my favorite, either, although some authors do it really well.
Great teaser. I love that the character only caught a glimpse--I want to know who it was they saw!
Jessica: Thanks!
It's a good series. :)
Angela: I agree! I like it a lot better than the one for Witch & Wizard, the first book in the series.
Natasha: Thanks!
I have succeeded, then. ;)
Sage: Welcome to The Eagle's Aerial Perspective! Thank you so much for following.
Clarissa: It might be the same person--Patterson has written dozens of novels. :P
Julie: And to me as well. He just keeps writing. :)
The Maximum Ride series is one of my favorites, although I didn't like the latest book.
You're welcome!
I like it, too.
Ali: Glad you enjoyed it!
Margaret: Hi there! Welcome to my blog. :) I'm so glad to have found you when I was looking through the A-Z Challenge list.
You too!
Misha: Thanks!
This is a good series. :)
Arlee: His books aren't my favorites of all time, but I find they're a good read every once in a while.
Tyrean: I'm glad you did! It's fun to read all kinds of teasers, whether they're from nonfiction or fiction. :)
Interesting teaser--especially since I'm homsechooled myself!
Michelle: You're welcome!
They're good books.
