Now, I've actually finished this book--but I wanted to share a teaser from it anyway.
(I don't like the cover. I know a lot of people do, for me it's Nah.)
That's the part I still don't get, after I've knocked on my folks' door to say good night and changed into my pajamas and said my prayers and gone to bed. Because if I'd done like those Italian nuns had asked, if I'd gone off with them, I'd have trained to be a unicorn hunter.
-p. 190. From: "The Care and Feeding of Your Baby Killer Unicorn"
So, after you've shared a teaser in the comments--if you have one--I just have to know: are you Team Unicorn or Team Zombie?
Me, I'm Team Unicorn. Sorry, Zombie folks. ;)

Great teaser! I am Team Unicorn, ofcourse. Zombies freak me out!
Great teaser! I actually have never heard of the series, so I don't know what team I would be.
I haven't heard of this book either! Now I will have to check it out! Great teaser!
I'm Team Zombie all the way! But that does look pretty good. I'm going to check it out. thanks!
Great teaser, but I agree with you about the cover! :-)
I haven't heard of this book either, so I really don't know, but in general I prefer unicorns to zombies. This Teaser Tuesdays are so fun!
Well, if the unicorn can impale zombies without being bitten, then I'd say he's the winning side!
I saw this book floating around last week. LOL, what will they think of next? I hope that you are enjoying your book. Wanna see what my Teaser for Tuesday is?
I haven't heard of this book and I also don't like the cover haha!!! But I'm definitely Team Unicorn.
Not to sound like a broken record, but I hadn't hear of this book. The name alone had me intrigued and your excerpt was like icing on the cupcake.
Here is my teaser from Out of Touch by Brandon Tietz (Page vii):
I used to be the kind of guy that would have no problem reading Playboy or Hustler on an airplane, but that me in "the before," and nearly everything has changed since that time in my life a little over a year ago.
This is not a coming of age story.
If that's what you're wanting then I suggest you put this down and read something else: something with a happy ending. Like Penthouse.
Or: the funny pages.
This is me giving you your official warning.
Because where this goes, you might not be ready for.
Being a bit fluffy and soppy I'll plump for team unicorn but oh I do have my days when all I want is to be in team zombie!!
LOL! I see what you mean about the cover of this book - but the teaser is really good!!! Thanks for sharing, take care
x
Man, unicorn hunters? I'd better hide my collection. Since I have about 50 I guess I'm team unicorn :)
Jules @ Trying To Get Over The Rainbow
haha...that teaser was hilarious.
I have a nonfiction with me. Anthony Bourdain A Cook's Tour.
Here are the two sentences on page 119:
"He has only the leg," said Abdul.
"I see that," I said irritably. Tell him I want the whole thing. What do I have to do to get the whole thing?
I'm team unicorn. Neil Gaiman has a good theory on why unicorns would win. I read it on The Bloggess.
Here's the last teaser from my book, The Treasures of Carmelidrium, the cover is now on my blog and I think it will be up on kindle next week. Not 100% though.
Chapter 50.
Táwien waved her hand before the door and said, “Tinénduil.” It opened and she stood to the side. Missie stepped through into a vast, evergreen forest. The sensation of wind whipped around her and she felt her body lifted, floating above the ground, and then set down in the grass. A sense of timelessness tingled around her. The shrubbery appeared distant. In the center, a calm lake of crystal blue waters reflected the white clouds above.
I'm team unicorn.

From the cover, I thought it was Zombies v. Unicorns .. is it part of the series? Everyone seems to be lovin' these books! Thanks for the teaser!
I'm not getting this cover either, what happened to the book title?
and Yeah definitely Team Unicorn
Nuns always lead to unicorns. Naturally!
YEAY! Teaser Tuesday!!!!!!! Here is mine! It is the day when my to-read list just can't stop growing!!!

I am a softy so I guess Team Unicorn though I love Zombies to at times.
My Tuesday Teaser
Haven't read this book yet (though I have heard of it). But I'm going to say Team Unicorn because, well, from what I've seen in other stories I am NOT keen on zombies!
I don't like the cover either.

Tossing It Out
Misha: Thanks!
Me, too.
Mist of the blossom rain: Thank you!
Try it out--see what you make of it! It's just one book, actually.
Kelsey: I hope you do! It was a good read, overall.
Thanks!
Hannah: *neighs in indignation* How can you not like a creature that, you know, shall we say *expels* rainbows?! LOL.
You're welcome!
Shannon: Thanks, Shannon!
It just doesn't appeal to me. Too . . . busy, and kind of garish.
Susan: I definitely prefer Unicorns over Zombies--what's the draw with the undead? :P
I agree!
Alex: Of course! Another good reason to be Team Unicorn!
Lori: I don't know--but when I Googled Zombies vs. and stopped there, it gave me vs. Robots, plants, and humans.
I'm sorry it's been so long--I haven't had the time to reply to comments, but I'll be right over!
Lazy Girl: Hooray!
Lisa: Well, I love spreading the word about books--whether it is good or bad. If you check it out some more, I hope you enjoy the read!
I'm glad you like the teaser!
Tribute Books Mama: Oooh, I love your teaser! Awesome!
Old Kitty: I suppose I'll have to admit I do, too--sometimes zombies have attractive traits!
You're welcome!
Jules: You have that many unicorns? Wow. Yup, you'd better hide that collection! ;)
Beth: Glad you liked it!
Theresa: Interesting teaser! Thanks for sharing!
I'll have to read that article--it sounds like just my thing.
Nancy: Beautiful excerpt. It sounds like a wonderful place!
Cool.
Julie: No, it's not a series--it's a standalone anthology.
You're very welcome!
Joanna: They decided to put in icons instead--I prefer just plain old titles, thank you very much. :P
Team Unicorn-ers unite!
Smellincoffee: LOL.
Emma: I love Teaser Tuesdays as well! And I've added to my TBR lists as a consequence many times.
BLHmistress: I agree. :)
Rachel: Me, neither--wandering around (or, as Justine Larbalestier says, shambling) doesn't really appeal, and being undead? No, thanks.
Lee: The inside is worse--I don't know why, exactly, they decided to plaster it with skeletons and gory illustrations of unicorns, zombies, and people tearing each other up. Ugh.
