Okay, enough with the trivia. Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB HERE at Should Be Reading.
Here are the rules for participating:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teaser is from The Painted Boy by Charles de Lint.
(I absolutely LOVE this cover. It's black, gold, and red, and the dragon is excellent.)
She nodded. "Okay. Play it that way. But let me know if you change your mind."
Why did everyone think he was so much more than what he was?-p. 69
If you have a teaser today, feel free to share it in the comments!

Here's my entry:
The examination of Mrs. Thipps provided more entertainment than enlightenment, affording as it did an excellent example of the game called "cross questions and crooked answers." After fifteen minutes' suffering, both in voice and temper, the Coroner abandoned the struggle, leaving the lady with the last word.
It's from the book WHOSE'S BODY? by Dorothy L. Sayers.
