TGI Friday? Nah . . .

My Dashboard has gone funky! There's no longer the little window with a scroll; I've tried Blogger and Blogger-In-Draft, but it's all the same. It looks like a blog page, and while it's a little big (which I don't mind) I can't see older posts that people have written. It's just giving me like 10 of them, and it doesn't reload when I reach the bottom, the way it usually does. And also, it'll sometimes tell me "You are not currently following any blogs" which is false. REALLY false.

So, I'm really sorry, but I'm afraid unless this fixes itself I'm not going to be able to comment on many of of your posts. I could go through the whole list manually, but that would take hours. I don't really want to spend hours looking at blogs because Blogger isn't working properly (I'm following over 200 and comment on even more, give me a little slack.)

In addition to the Blogs I'm Following tab not working, the list of blogs I follow is acting up. It's a bulleted list instead of the usual shaded area. At the bottom of the page, the boxes with Tool and Resources, Help Resources, etc., is huge and off their columns. It looks like this:

And like this:

Am I the only one with this issue?

You are not the only one dealing with this! I've heard it twice now but you're the one to explain it so I knew what they were talking about! LOL.

I've trusted google reader now to let me know who has all posted so I'll have to go that way and also comment on those who've commented on my post!!!

I suppose I'll have to try Google Reader too . . . but I still prefer the other method. I hope they get it fixed!

I am having the exact same problem. On top of that, when I click to enter someones blog so I can comment, reader turns into all their old post.

Last night topped it off though. It began to scroll down at warp speed all by itself. Is this an October thing? Ghost in the Reader. A new release book by the best selling author, Google Blogger.

My dashboard is the same. Such a pain! No scroll down list and the images are huge. Don't know how I'll use blogger on my phone.

I think there would be some sort of 'feedback' section on Blogger's forum where we can complain. Power to the people!

I found this link on the Blogger forum. If enough people complain/comment, it could be changed back.

I had this issue a couple of times but it usually fixes itself. I just close out of everything and come back later. Good luck!!

I haven't had this issue, but I've had other weird blogger things. Typically, closing my browser and emptying out the temporary internet files has cleared it up, but it sounds like this one may be more persistent for y'all. Boo to that, I say. Boo to that.

Having the same problem. 'Tis annoying.

That happened with me too! It's really ugly when there are big pictures, and yeah, it acts like just one page. I personally dislike it HIGHLY. :(

Blogger has been in a funk lately. I was having issues uploading pictures about 3 days ago. But I'm stubborn and determined and no matter how many errors I received, I tried again and succeeded - take that, Blogger!

I've noticed Bloggers been making a lot of changes to improve and I'm sure that's what messing with the page. Usually these things work itself out.

I'm having the same problem. I use google reader on my android, but when I'm on a computer, I usually rely on my dashboard. Now that it's like this though, I've gone over to google reader.

Sigh.

google [blogger owner] does not seem to care about its members... nothing new there :(

I hope your problem resolves soon. I hate it when techy things get in the way of communicating with people. Good luck!!

Same here!

Hello! I have a lovely award (of your choice) on my blog, please fly by when you can. ;)

Same problem here, so I decided to use Google Reader and all the blogs are there (Not sure if that's normal).

So that's what I'm using.

As of 6:00 EST Blogger seems to be back to normal in Safari. :)

Nancy: "Ghost in the Reader"--the new, nonfiction bestseller!

*sigh* LOL. It just cleared up for me, though.

Brace Chickens: I'll check out that forum.

Hannah: Thanks!

C. N. Nevets: Boo indeed! But it stopped acting funky for me. :)

Liberty: Hope it fixes itself for you.

Guinevere: It is annoying.

Aleta: Take that indeed! Perseverance--excellent. :)

Clarissa: Usually . . .

Quinn: I'm always on a laptop, but yeah, if it starts up again I'll just switch to Google Reader.

Elena: *shakes head at Blogger* Exactly.

Laughingwolf: Unfortunately, problems that come up just have to stay problems until they fix themselves.

Paulgreci: Yeah.

OliveTree: You too? I hope your Dashboard clears up.

Talei: Thank you, thank you, thank you! :D I'll check it out.

Misha: I just wish that Reader linked directly to the blog and its comment pages.

OliveTree: Yes, it's working for me now, too! :) Huzzah!

I'm doing mine through google reader. It takes longer because to comment I have to go through to each blog as well but, at the same time, at least I'm sure I'm not missing anyone. I have no idea what Blogger is doing but it's pretty crazy. I hope they fix it soon.

I had lots of problems a few weeks ago....but I've read a few posts with the same or similar concerns that you are having. I hope they get it together quickly!

Mine was acting wacky today too! I kept trying to preview my post and all I got was a blank screen... I've been trying to sign in all day and I don't know what I just did, but I'm finally signed in...

They must be doing some kind of updates. The last time there were lots of issues a few days later there were all kinds of new templates and options. :) So maybe next week we'll have some wonderful new gadget from blogger.

Deni Krueger said...

Yeah. I've had some wacky Blogger moments, too. Usually clears itself out with a little time away.

Melissa: I suppose as long as nothing's missed, Google Reader is the best way to go when these things flare up. I never really like it, but I might make the switch.

The Words Crafter: Google/Blogger usually fixes things pretty fast, even though you can't really go up and complain.

Sharon: I'm glad you could finally log in! That happens to me sometimes; I'll get the "your cookies have been disabled" every month or so. (That phrase always cracks me up--what's next? Ice cream?)

Maybe! It would be nice if they added something stupendous. :)

Deni: Yup!
