When inspiration knocks you have to follow, but I believe that we can't just wait for it to strike, or blast out gamma rays as in the picture. I try to write everyday, first thing in the morning is best for me, sometime I have an idea, some days I just write and see what emerges. I also so Tai Chi in a morning and sometimes ideas come unbidden as I move.
