**********
But before I go, I wanted to let you know I will be posting tomorrow for Blog Action Day, and have signed up for yet another blogfest (because it sounded awesome. And after all, I am so not busy with, um, two others):
Hosted by Carrie Butler at So, You're a Writer....
So, what is your favorite thing to do on Saturday? Or over the weekend? Are you participating in Blog Action Day or the Casting Call Bloghop?

Sleep late, play computer games, and watch college football.
I just had to laugh, because I went and checked out Blog Action Day. And when I read about it, I burst out laughing. Reason? I just (literally two minutes ago, just) posted about Sevenly, which gives money to different charities each week through t-shirt proceeds. (And please check them out, they're really awesome).
I might do either one, or both, or neither. I'm not sure.
And Saturdays... well, I expect my day will be full of airship facts. Whoohoo to Steampunk!
Apart from sleeping, it's baking! LOL!! Enjoy your weekend! Yay for going to the library!!
The Blog Action day sounds amazing! It's a very worthy cause too!
Take care

On Saturdays, I try to catch up on visiting all my bloggy friends.
This Saturday was visiting some extra blogs and watching Football :-)
Saturdays usually give me a chance to do a few hours of unenterupted writing, if there is such a thing. I usually watch a little football while I'm working if it's one of my favorite teams playing--Florida, Florida State, USF, and a few others. I'm pretty good at writing and watching at the same time.
My favorite thing to do on a Saturday is to sleep. By Friday night I'm a space cadet, and I need the rest. After that, I'd rather be knitting while watching all the shows that I missed this week.
I am doing Blog Action Day. I've done it every year since 2007. As for the Casting Call, I'll have to look into it.
Sleep, write, get caught up on tv and do nothing.
Generally I like to catch up with the family. It is always a good day to play a board game as well.
Watching Nascar! (while working)
Thanks for mentioning the bloghop, Eagle!
My favorite thing to do over the weekend? Write, unless there's a (hockey) game on. :)
Have fun at the library!
Ah, jealous... I wanted to go to the library today but I had to rake leaves and do homework... (although I should probably be doing homework instead of reading anyway... sigh...)
If I actually had the day off, I'd go thrift store shopping, go to the library, go to Barnes and Nobles, and write in the afternoon.
We do all our errands on Saturday mornings. Then later, I like to relax with a book or go to one of the state parks for a walk. The library is also a lovely place to visit.
My husband and I check the paper for local events. Today we went to a swapmeet in a rich area. Got there too late.
I wrote something for Blog Action day, and resolve to contribute regularly to the food pantry for the needy.
My favorite thing to do on Saturday? Not work.
Saturdays are for reading, writing, and napping. Not in any particular order. But then again, that's what happens most every afternoon, seven days a week. ^_^
On Saturdays, I try to do something creative.
Today it was helping to "Occupy Saskatoon," which was being occupied along with about a thousand (or more) other communities.
A good event with which to occupy my Saturday.
I'm also up for the Blog Action Day tomorrow! Thanx for visiting my wee bloggy.
I think going to the library is a great Saturday thing to do, but I admit, I'm usually so tired by the end of the week, that my ideal weekend involves catching up on sleep and a host of other relaxing things, so I can fight the long working week again. Unfortunately, that doesn't usually happen.
I love to sleep! And I also like to relax a little bit and go for a wander in Hyde Park.
Hope you're having a great weekend!
I love to sleep late on Saturdays and then go to watch the football. I like lazy weekends. :)
Hope you're having a good one!
I'd love to have time to join in... no good wishing.
Library? Good call! My wife and I like to find quiet places to write. Today, we're going to the Upstart Crow, a bookstore/coffee shop in Seaport Village.
My favorite thing to do is rest. However, it never seems to happen on a Saturday. I hope you have fun at the library.
A million things! Spending time with my family, reading, writing, cooking etc. and not thinking about Sunday (because Sunday is just too close to Monday...)
I normally take my dogs to puppy class on Saturdays but this weekend, I ended up working.
Hope you had a great weekend!
Alex: Being able to sleep late is nice! Though I'm a morning person--I like getting up early.
The Dandy Lioness: Good old coincidence. :)
I hope you join in for the blogging events!
I love Steampunk. :D
Old Kitty: Baking is fun!
Thank you!
And last year's was fascinating; I learned a lot about water.
Susan: Me, too. Traffic's usually slower that day, too, which makes it easier. :P
Sarah: Hooray for extra blogs! :)
I've never watched football . . .
Richard: I know what you mean. There always seems to be something that needs addressing.
I do that when the news is on, sometimes.
Liz: I love to knit and watch TV!
Awesome. I did BAD2010; it was a really great event. I look forward to doing it in coming years as well. :)
Pat: I'm with you on the writing and sleeping!
Josh: Definitely. :)
Alexandra: I've never watched NASCAR.
Carrie: You're welcome! It's on my Current Participation page as well. :)
Same here. Weekends are often for writing, unless I've got another project going . . .
Thanks! I did.
Gracie: I had chores to do this weekend as well. Hope you get to visit the library later in the week. :)
Shelly: That sounds like a fun sort of day! :)
Christine: Oh, I'd love to walk around a state park . . .
Susan: I'm sorry to hear you missed the swapmeet.
I'll have to head over to your blog to check out your Blog Action Day post!
Rusty: Sounds good to me. :P
Angelina: Lucky!
Rob-bear: Wow. I've heard of the Occupy movements of course, but you're the first person I know who's actually participated in them. :)
A Daft Scots Lass: Awesome!
I really enjoyed visiting your blog.
C D: I hope you get some relaxing time this weekend.
Talli: Sounds fun. :)
You too!
Shirley: LOL. So do I . . . unless there's something I've been dying to do for a while.
Thank you!
Stuart: There are a lot of blogs participating! But reading all the entries is fun. :)
I hate missing out on TV shows. Hope you get some time!
Carole: I'm sorry to hear you can't join--though time constraints are completely understandable.
Milo: Thanks! :)
It sounds like fun. I hope you enjoyed visiting the Upstart Crow! (I love the name of it.)
Clarissa: I hope you got the chance to get some rest this weekend!
Thank you! I did have fun; read a good book.
E.D.: Agreed. :)
M.J.: Aw, I'm sorry to hear you had to work this weekend!
Thanks!
Solidarity greeting from Occupy Saskatoon (Canada)
We had 500 at our parade yesterday, 250 at yesterday's general assembly; 50 overnight (temperature was about -2°C/28°F)
Site cleanup under way; next general assembly at 5:30 p.m. our time (7:30 Eastern time).
Police are friendly and helpful, here. We're working with them to keep it that way.
football and a nap.
Ooh have enough money to go shopping and have a Costa Coffee treat probably but then shopping is less fraught during the week when there are fewer people!
Rob-bear: It must have been some event, with 500 people! I'm glad to hear that about the police; there are so many reports of people in such a position going after protesters.
Charles: I'm all for a nap. :) Have never watched football, though.
Madeleine: True. I don't like going shopping on weekends for that reason; and sometimes they run out of things on busy days.
